Session Summary
Bolstered by their recent success in their first mission and their official induction into MercNet, our group of stalwart mercenaries speed off to the mining planet Hemia to meet with their new contact. Landing with no issue despite the large scale mining operation, the group makes their way through customs and off to a bar named the Rusted Nebula.
After immersing themselves in the local talent in the Rusted Nebula and speaking briefly with the local crimeboss known only as Zisk, the group finds themselves caught in some street gang warfare, with the entire bar finding itself under attack from a group of thugs. After a quick round of negotiations with Zisk, the group clears the bar of the threat and sets fire to it as they leave.

Fry fixes Bender. Everyone consents to Flora to do scans except for Greg and help keep us healthy, after we had to listen to Joe go on a rant about how he doesn’t trust AI. Greg studies the stars. Flora studies information about Hemia. After 3 days we arrive at Hemia, it's a huge planetoid almost like Jupiter with a red rusty surface. A huge space station tethered to the top of the massive steel cables that are buried into the planet. There is a fleet of MASSIVE mining ships all over the planet. The miners are stripping the planet and will break it apart to get all the resources they can until it is destroyed. Draven pilots the ship into Hemia which is just a huge mining town with ads. We go through customs and land. We take the truck off the ship. We meet an android at the dock who makes us agree to follow the laws and shows us where the customs office is. He also gave us a valet token for our truck. We all head to the customs office where we find a human/android guy who tells us to meet Zisk at the Rusted Nebula. We must wear our environmental gear while we are walking through the streets of the city. We find the Rusted Nebula and Greg pulls out the hologram chip and goes to give it to one of the guards standing outside the door who lets us in and tells us to go all the way to the back of the club to find Zisk. When we walk in, we see a titty bar. Joe gets a drink and sits at the table in front of the stage to see some Ratussy with Baloo. As Baloo asks for milk and distracts the bartender, Draven steals a bottle of top shelf liquor from behind the bar and slips it in her backpack. Joe gives Baloo some Vesk juice and said its milk so Baloo told him to taste it first and he almost blew chunks. They stay as the rest of the group goes to find Zisk. We find another human/android guy with expensive high-end robotic hands. Draven offers him a drink and when we sit down, he gets serious and asks us how tf we knew his name. After Greg and Draven trying to bluff him, he locks us in the room and eyes glow red like he's gonna kill us. Greg and Flora break down and tell him the truth about Cookie and he goes back to normal. He turns civil and thanks us for the return of the ship and then Greg asks him for work. He wants us to help put off the popping of the cork in the planet by a month or so. So, he tells us he wants us to go up to the planet popper and do some “routine maintenance” and essentially hack and mess up this piece of equipment and that he can get us into the maintenance area with some passes but the lower levels, the power plant of it is more secured so it is up to us to get in there to hack it. Offers us 1000 credits to split among us if we get the job done and then gives us a drive to put into the main frame then he will give us the ship that we brought to him from Cookie. Greg asks for schematics to the lower levels. He tells us it will take the night for him to get the passes, schematics, and transportation set up. We agree to do the job. While we are doing this, a female bear named at Coco (that Baloo is now in love with) comes out and starts to strip in front of Joe and Baloo distracting them while all the other patrons are leaving and running out while some goons with guns enter the bar. They take aim at Joe and Baloo. ROLL INITIATIVE! [Joe] flips a credit in the juke box for it to start playing music while they are fighting. The goons go through and start mowing down the people left sitting at the tables and then they shoot Baloo. Joe, who still has an erection, throws a sticky grenade in between a group of the guys and it explodes into a white sticky mass and entraps all 4 of them. Everyone locked in the room with Zisk hears what's going on outside and he lights a cigar and tells us “300 credits if you handle this” and unlocks the door. Joe smashes one of the dude's heads with his hammer and kills him. Fry gets root access to the system and locks the doors but doesn’t have access to security systems. Greg summoned a cloud of acid and killed a guy melting him to death. Draven gets hit hard by a guy with a war hammer. Fry gets access to a huge Gattlin gun that comes from the ceiling and starts lighting up the 2 guys behind the bar. Flora heals Draven. Baloo uses two batteries to fry a guy. Greg intimidated a bad guy and made him his minion basically to fight with us. Draven throws a grenade over the bar killing the guy that hit her. Greg gave the minion his gun and then the minion turned around and shot the guy by Joe right in the dome killing him. Baloo bashes a guy in the head with his spikey sword killing him. Draven goes behind the counter and kills the one guy left behind the bar with her hand axe. As the last guy is crawling out the door Joe kicks him in the taint hitting with a crit hit and kicking his head into the wall killing him. As soon as this happens Draven turns around and shoots the minion in the head killing him. END OF INITIATIVE! Greg takes his gun back. End of initiative. Zisk comes out clapping and says how impressed he is and pays us 100 credits each. Then he tells us that he will see us the next morning to give us everything for the mission and leaves us a bunch of moltolvs to burn the place down. While the rest of the team starts ransacking the place Baloo goes to look for Coco and “other people.” Flora looks around and does minor first aid on the patrons that were left in the building. As Fry is looking at the cameras, she sees that the strippers are just droids that shape shift. Baloo doesn’t know this but goes in to find Coco anyways and gathers everyone in the room to run out. Baloo gives Coco, who he still believes is real, his contact information. Fry saves that interaction but wipes all the other footage and as she’s doing this, she gets a notification that Hyperian Systems took a huge insurance claim out on the bar. Joe finds a white substance in the room and takes a face full of it. Greg lights the room on fire as we’re all talking about Baloo’s milk, and we leave the Rusted Nebula with the sound of flames behind us like a bad ass action movie. End of sesh.
