Session Summary

Fighting tooth and nail through impossible odds, the heroic group led by none other than Seek, protector of the realms, Made their way through the trap filled Cemetery, thousands of bodies lining every direction, but providing no shelter against the savage, 8 foot tall slavering rat beasts.

During one specific pitched battle, where the group faces 20 plus odds, Guthred took a near mortal wound that caused him to lose himself into the very beasts that we were fighting. With a disgusting cacophony of snapping bones and squelching organs, Guthred transformed into a hideous were-rat-beast and began to attack friend and foe alike.

Despite the sudden and dire turn of circumstance, Seek stepped forward unafraid and using his wit, cunning, and silver tongue, managed to Talk the raging beast that Guthred had become into remember who his best friend was. With the giant beast now on their side, the intrepid adventurers managed to win the day once again.

After a moments reprise to allow The brothers to rest (they got really fucked up) our heroes pressed forward and came to the penultimate arena of the junkyard. The mastermind behind the rat menace came forward, standing 8 ft’ 10” and wielding an army of no less than a hundred rats, he began to press the group, knowing his advantage.

After the bungled attempt at diplomacy from Ashikaga, Seek stepped forward to once again save the day, using his keen sense to determine that the man was simply protecting children and convincing him to maintain his army of vermin inside the junkyard lest others come and finish the job they would not.

So thankful was the villain he provided the group with a heft purse full of gold and a simple, mundane bag filled with a trove of magic items: A Cloak, a Torch, a Pair of Gloves, and a Lantern.

Returning to Lazaar’s wake, the group informed Grommash that the threat was over, and received their well-due recompense for a job well done. Despite the victory, however, one of the Brothers remained wary of his very own savior, Seek, and began to harass him despite Seek providing room and hot meals to all his subordinates out of the kindness of his own heart.

A nights rest later, the group amassed once again to venture forth and battle the forces of evil.

Having been contracted by the Forgotten Relic Seeker’s Guild to recover lost artifacts in the aftermath of the War-forged war. Our intrepid heroes set out on the intercontinental lightning rail in the company of Kylie Menral, the expedition leader, and his two expert body guards; Ernaut the shield, and Lil’ Dicky.

During the expedition, a tenacious band of war-forged attacked the lightning rail, laying low poor Kymil and his body guards, and rendering the other occupants of the train - any who lifted blade against them - unconscious.

Upon waking, the heroes assembled in the center of the collapsed lightning rail and led the beaten and bruised survivors to the nearby city of Sharn. Stopping first at the DragonMarked Hearth and then making their way over to Lazaar’s wake, the group conversed with the illustrious owner of the seedy mercenary tavern, Grommash Bloodaxe, where they were told that representatives for the Forgotten Relic Seeker’s Guild sometimes frequented the tavern.

Deciding to bide time by picking up a contract, the group set out for the nearby junkyard to rid it of a plague of Giant Rats, making a short pit-stop at the Iron Soul and purchasing a series of questionably old health potions. Making their way to the junkyard, the group came across a handful of the large (but not as large as advertised) Rats, one of them biting the de-factor group leader named Seek before scurrying off.

After chasing off or otherwise killing the remaining vermin, the group began to buckle down and prepare themselves for the trials and tribulations to come.
