Session Summary

Underneath the pale light of Z’rantiir, the mournful cries of a chained beast ring out. Ever watchful Seek rests deep in the woods outside of Reven, holding vigil for his dear friend Guthred, praying that morning light sees the goblin safely returned.

Having left Reven ahead of the group to scout, Seek had an ulterior motive for ranging ahead: Finding a place for which Guthred could undergo his monstrous transformation under the light of the full moon safely. When the group arrived Seek informed them of what was to come, and while their initial reaction was to cast out the dangerous one among them, Seek beseeched their inner compassion and reminded them of the countless times Guthred had been there for them during their darkest hours.

With renewed determination, Seek and Ashi led Guthred north of the camp, far away from the others so that he could pose no danger. A pair of manacles, procured from an expert smith in Reven, would hold the beast that Guthred would become tight and keep him safe from himself. So it was that Ashi and Seek had to leave Guthred against a strong tree, the goblin thanking them mournfully with tears in his clouded eyes. Ashi wanted to turn back, choking back sorrowful words of friendship, but Seek reminded him that as hard as it was, the best thing they could do for their friend was ensure he would not harm any of the others.

A restless night filled with nightmares and howl laid heavy over the group, and when the sun rose in the morning the only thing that could break the gloom was finding Guthred safe and unharmed, the trials of the night before behind them. Exhausted, but heartened by the return of their friend, the group set off once again in search of souls in need.

A brief rendevous with a traveling circus lifted the groups spirits considerably, despite a failed attempt at thievery by a CONTEMPTIBLE LOATHSOME FOUL <the page tears slightly and the remaining words are smeared>.

Moving on to their next port of call, a sleepy village known as Quesk, the group set about for some much needed relaxation. While the others took care of their own business, Seek set about to find something that would protect all of their belongings from theft, attempting to ensure that all that they had worked for would remain ever safe so long as he was around.

Eventually, after a long day of shopping and exploration, the group convened once again in the inn for a night of revelry and bonding. Ashi, smitten by the beautiful Xasthura and jealous he could not warm her sheets himself, attempted a disgusting prank by hiring a worker of the night to visit her in her chambers.

Knowing this would hamper Ashi's true attempts to kindle the flame in her heart, Seek took leave of the group before the night was done to meet with Xasthura, intending to save her from the embarrassment that would follow later in the night. During their conversation, Xasthura revealed that she felt an outsider amongst the group, and had none to hold her confidence, to which Seek assured her that he ever would be her friend and ally.

Grateful for the new confidant, Xasthura thanked seek for his companionship and went to her new chambers, while Seek prepared to confront the worker of the night and spare Xasthura the shame, and Ashi the mistake he was attempting to make in his courtship of the flame sorceress.
