A sun-darkened man in his silver years, Dr. Rutherford maintains a well built physique that belies his age due to the hands on nature of his scientific endeavors. Mostly white hair and a neatly trimmed white beard, with smile lines at the corner of his eyes and worry lines creasing his forehead.
Background
An accomplished professor of ancient civilizations, Dr. Rutherford fell out of the public eye nearly 30 years ago, after some outlandish claims that the long gone civilizations of Arthra were advanced in ways we could scarcely comprehend.
Convinced that there were hidden messages encoded in the Esharan Stele, Dr. Rutherford took the remains of his grant money and spent the next 5 years with a self funded archeology dig in Eshara's Veil, eventually leading to the discovery of The Portal
