001_20250525001_20250517## Session Summary
Recap
Log
- Watches go without a hitch
- Seek tells the group about the journal and what was written in it. The group discusses and decides t hat it's still worthwhile to go up to Rastalin to find the cure, as there is no chance of finding a gem inside the entire city, and any damage done is already done
- The trip to Kendalton takes 3 additional days
- Durak attempts to learn the spells from the scrolls that we found
- The first roll is an 11, good enough to learn Gale Blast
- Grav pull - 15, success
- Gentle Landing - 14, failure, can't try again for a week
- Puck starts practicing riding on Nyla
- Seek just kicks back and relaxes and plays his lute for the 3 days. Tells campfire stories, entertains
- Durak attempts to learn the spells from the scrolls that we found
- Over the course of the 3 days, we begin to see the trees of the wyrwood thin, start seeing sunlight and hearing birds. Eventually, we make out way out of the forest and into rolling grassy plains
- Mid day of Day 3 we begin to see a walled city on the horizon. We will hit the city by sundown on the 3rd day.
- As we approach the city, starting about 1/4 mile outside the city, there are small posts driven into the ground, scattered all around the fields. The posts are strung with rope and wire and bells.
- Seek sees that the guards have clocked them and are watching.
- The group tries to get Eeyore to speed up a little bit
- Durak knows that Kendalton is a trade town that specializes in the breeding, training, and sale of Mounts of various different shapes and sizes.
- Kendalton is considered one of the friendlier cities, so this armistice is not typical of them
- Man standing at the gate when it opens is armed in leathers and rushes them inside, seek hops off the cart and appeals to the guards to gather some information
- Guard says something has been digging through the meadows, its shattering the walls and buildings, keeps breaking bones on the mounts
- Some sort of lizard coming up out of the ground, looks almost like a crocodile except it digs.
- 3 streets that way, Bell and Bridle Inn
- As we move through the city we notice there is damage to the city, and a pattern to the damage. There are places where the streets are broken like something came out of the ground.
- Around these places, anything made of steel or stone shows significant damage, with anything made of wood or leather or cloth showing far less damage
- At the Bell and Bridle, paid 6 copper (2 + 4 tip) to stable Eeyore
- The patrons seem a little on edge, but nothing incredibly dire. Drinking to keep themselves occupied
- Barkeep is Human Male and is armed. Most of the patrons are also armed
- This isn't uncommon to carry some armament, but most people are carrying clubs and blackjacks and the like, full on weaponry
- Thomas Elridge
- Beast showed up about 3 months ago, frequency of attacks is increasing
- Jenkins down on 4th street making a killing selling blackjacks.
- 2 gold for room and board for the night
- Seek goes up and plays for a decent portion of the night, making a total of 1 gold and 5 silver from tips
